Custom Furniture in Dhaka: Wardrobes, Kitchen Cabinets and Office Furniture from Our Own Workshop
Off-the-shelf furniture rarely fits Dhaka homes and offices well. It wastes corners, leaves gaps, and often fails early in local humidity. Furniture design in Bangladesh has one extra constraint imported catalogues ignore: that humidity, and the hardware that survives it. We design and fabricate custom furniture in Bangladesh from our own factory in Badda, Dhaka, built around your dimensions and daily use. Our design office is in Adabor and the workshop is in Badda, so drawings and production stay under the same team.
Every piece is designed around actual room dimensions, daily use, material choice, hardware and installation conditions, then fabricated by our own production team. For hinges, drawer channels and lift-up fittings we prefer branded hardware from manufacturers like Häfele when the budget allows, because the fittings decide how a cabinet feels after years of daily use. Studio Archifiction has produced custom furniture for offices, government workspaces and family homes across Dhaka since 2012.
Cabinet work is priced per sft of cabinet face. Our August 2026 rates run from BDT 1,800 per sft for gorjon ply with a colour finish to BDT 3,500 per sft for aluminium units with glass shelves; the full table by board and finish is in our kitchen cabinet price guide for Bangladesh.

Office Furniture: Workstations, Storage and Meeting Tables
Custom office furniture in Dhaka is where most of our workshop time goes: workstations with proper cable management and power grommets, executive tables paired with matching storage walls, conference tables and full meeting room furniture, reception counters and feature partitions, and storage cabinets and shelving built for high-traffic office use.
Office furniture in Dhaka is usually bought from a catalogue and then made to fit the room. We work the other way round. The room is planned first, then the furniture is drawn to the set-out, so sockets land where desks actually are and nothing is trimmed on site to make it fit.
On the 5,600 sft UNDP floor at IDB Bhaban we designed and supplied six-person workstation tables, overhead storage, meeting tables and a custom reception desk design matched to the brand wall as part of the renovation. For clinics we make the reception counter and the storage around each treatment room, as in our doctor’s chamber interior design for a dental practice in Gulshan. On the 750 sft ADB Wing meeting room the conference table was made to the room rather than selected from a catalogue after the layout was fixed. Home Furniture: Wardrobe Design in Dhaka, Kitchen Cabinets and TV Units
Wardrobes and bedroom storage systems, kitchen cabinets and utility cabinets, TV units and wall cabinet systems, and study tables, display units and sideboards, all sized to fit your actual rooms rather than a standard catalogue size. Wardrobe design requests usually decide the rest of the bedroom wall, so we draw the wardrobe and the wall as one elevation, the way the kitchen cabinet guide does for kitchens.

Can I order custom furniture without a full interior design project?
Yes. You can commission custom furniture, such as kitchen cabinets, wardrobes or office pieces, on its own, without a full interior design engagement. We’ll still measure your space and confirm shop drawings before fabrication.
Do you build kitchen cabinets and wardrobes to fit non-standard room sizes?
That’s exactly what custom fabrication is for. We measure your actual wall widths, ceiling heights, and corners, and design cabinets and wardrobes to fit them precisely, instead of forcing standard sizes into an irregular room.
Where is your furniture fabricated?
In our own factory in Badda, Dhaka. Producing in-house under controlled conditions lets us hold tighter tolerances and finish quality than furniture sourced from third-party workshops.
How much does custom furniture cost in Dhaka?
Built-in furniture is priced per sft of cabinet face, by board and finish. In August 2026 our kitchen cabinet rates run from BDT 1,800 to 2,000 per sft for 18 mm gorjon ply with a colour finish, BDT 2,200 to 2,400 for HPL or duco, BDT 2,400 to 2,500 for acrylic on gorjon ply, BDT 2,800 for acrylic on marine ply and BDT 3,500 for aluminium units with glass shelves. Wardrobes and storage walls are priced the same way. Loose pieces such as tables and workstations are quoted per piece against shop drawings. Counter tops, appliances and hardware upgrades are listed separately so you can see what you are paying for.
Which board should I choose for wardrobes and kitchen cabinets in Bangladesh?
Plywood or marine ply where water is constant, below the kitchen counter and around the sink. Gorjon ply with acrylic or HPL for wardrobes and upper cabinets, where finish matters more than moisture. PVC or WPC boards where water cannot be avoided. Spend on the hinges and drawer channels before you spend on the board: in a Dhaka kitchen the hardware fails first.
What after-service do you provide on custom furniture?
Two years of after-service support on every piece we supply. If a door drops, a drawer runner fails or an edge lifts, send the item details and a photograph and we review it. Adjustments, repairs, replacement parts and third-party hardware are handled under the terms stated in your quotation, so ask for them in writing before you sign.
